Please
join us at our Monthly Meetings, which are free and open to the
public. Although our meetings are geared toward parents and
families, professionals are also welcome. Typically, each meeting
has a featured speaker who is an expert in some aspect of autism
services. After the presentation is a question and answer period,
followed by “mingle time?where attendees can chat informally with
our speaker and members of our board of directors.
We also
offer Newly Diagnosed Meetings, which provide
information on the autism diagnosis, the assessment process, basic
information about therapeutic options, detailed information on
Applied Behavior Analysis including research studies, the discrete
trial and the basics of behavior analysis, and an overview of
school district and regional center legal responsibilities related
to funding services for your autistic child. These meetings are
presented by LA FEAT parents Gretchen Shanofsky and Victoria Igloi, who
both have been active for many years in the autism community and
offer a wealth of knowledge and experience. Our Newly Diagnosed
meetings are open to any parent or family member, and there is no
charge for attending.
To receive notices of our meetings and other LA FEAT events, join
our email mailing list by sending your name and email address to
